“It’s newer than new, it’s youer than you, it’s nower than now and it’s wower than WOW!” On their new album ‘Robots’, the C-TYPES play Dada punk inspired by the eighties with a touch of surf beat on department-store guitar, theremin, Casio, organ, cocktail drum kit and off-key songs. On stage, they play in masks, which sets them apart from the mainstream, and scream ‘sabotage’! Rather silly but entertaining at the same time. Somewhere in the pentagram between the Cramps, stoned B-52’s, moronic DEVO, former Talking Heads and the Marx Brothers – in other words, there where insanity reigns, that’s where the C-TYPES blow away the cobwebs that bore into the cortex.
