It’s just mind-blowing when the world’s biggest rock band gets together to raise the roof – when 1.000 musicians perform popular rock songs in amazing synchrony – and electrify everyone.
It all began in 2015 as a publicity stunt by the Rockin’ 1000 founders, with the aim of attracting the Foo Fighters to their home town of Cesena in Italy. The result was a viral mega hit … and the Foo Fighters really did give a concert! This was followed in 2016 by a concert by the Rockin’ 1000, who have appeared many times since then and always with a great wow effect. In 2019, they will be in Frankfurt. And you can get a perfect foretaste of this when a delegation of Rockin´ 1000 rocks the Festival Arena this year. Some of the evening’s special guests will come from the Musikmesse Drum and Guitar Camps. They include Jen Majura, guitarist with, among other groups, Evanescence, and Patrick Metzger, who currently plays the drums for names such as Beatrice Egli, Die Dicken Kinder and The Rock ‘n Roll Flamingos.
